Terms & conditions
The agreement between you and us when you use Ahjola.
Last updated July 29, 2026
1. Who we are
Ahjola is operated by Axel Adlercreutz ("we", "us"). By creating an account, purchasing a subscription, or otherwise using Ahjola (the "Service"), you are entering into this agreement with Axel Adlercreutz. You can reach us at support@ahjola.dev.
2. Acceptance of these terms
By accessing or continuing to use the Service you agree to these terms. If you use the Service on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you have authority to bind that organisation; if you use it as an individual, you confirm you are of legal age to enter into this agreement. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
3. The service
Ahjola is a local-first tool for managing Claude Code configuration — skills, agents, commands and instruction files — with automatic version history, auditing, AI-assisted editing, a marketplace for sharing configuration bundles, and team workspaces. Your local artifacts stay on your machine unless you explicitly publish or sync them.
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service within the plan you have selected. You may not resell, redistribute, reverse engineer, or circumvent technical limits of the Service.
4. Accounts
You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and for all activity under your account.
5. Acceptable use
You must not misuse the Service. In particular, you must not:
- use the Service for any unlawful purpose, fraud or spam;
- infringe anyone's intellectual property or other rights;
- interfere with the security or operation of the Service, including introducing malware, probing or scraping, or attempting unauthorised access;
- publish bundles containing malicious content, credentials harvested from others, or content you have no right to share.
6. AI features
The Service includes AI-assisted features such as artifact editing and dependency analysis. For these features:
- You must not use AI features to generate illegal content, malware, deceptive impersonation, hate speech, or to attempt to jailbreak or misuse underlying models.
- You are responsible for your prompts, for how you use AI outputs, for verifying their accuracy, and for having the necessary rights to any content you submit as input.
- You retain your rights in your inputs. To the extent permitted by law, you own the AI-assisted edits produced from your own content within the Service.
- AI outputs may be inaccurate or incomplete. They are not a substitute for professional advice and should be reviewed before use — especially configuration that controls automated tooling.
- We may remove or restrict content, refuse or filter outputs, and suspend accounts that misuse AI features.
If you believe content available through the Service infringes your rights, contact us at support@ahjola.dev with details and we will review and, where appropriate, remove it. Repeated infringement leads to account termination.
7. Your content
You retain ownership of the configuration, bundles and other content you create or publish. You grant us a limited licence to host, process and display that content solely to provide the Service — for example to store published bundles and show them in the marketplace or your team's registry. Publishing a public bundle makes its contents visible to other users.
8. Our intellectual property
We retain all ownership of the Service and its intellectual property, including the software, design, documentation and branding. These terms do not grant you any rights in them beyond the licence in section 3.
9. Subscriptions, payments and refunds
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.
Payment, billing, tax, cancellation and refund mechanics are governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms. See also our refund policy. When a paid subscription is cancelled, access continues to the end of the paid period.
10. Service level
We work to keep the Service reliable, but we do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
11. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service for:
- material breach of these terms;
- non-payment of subscription fees;
- security or fraud risk;
- repeated or serious violations of the acceptable-use or AI rules above.
You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. When access ends, your local artifacts remain on your machine; published content and cloud data may be deleted after a reasonable export window.
12. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, consequential or special damages, including loss of profits, data or goodwill. Our aggregate liability under these terms is capped at the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence, where such liability cannot be excluded by law.
You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your content, your unlawful use of the Service, or your violation of these terms.
13. General
These terms are governed by the laws of Finland, and disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the Finnish courts, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence. You may not assign this agreement without our consent; we may assign it in connection with a merger or acquisition. Neither party is liable for delays caused by events beyond its reasonable control. We may update these terms; material changes will be announced in the Service, and continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
